Give an Animal a Forever Home
All our animals available for adoption have gone through a complete veterinary health examination, annual vaccinations, sterilization and microchipping. If you would like to meet any of our animals up for adoption please contact the DGA team.
Adoption Process
- Don’t Go Astray will send you an adoption questionnaire
- Don’t Go Astray will then conduct a phone interview
- Once agreed you are a good match for the animal, DGA will arrange a time for you to meet the animal
- DGA may conduct a home inspection
- If all parties are happy and wish to proceed with adoption, an adoption contract will be completed and your newest addition will go home with you for a 2 week trial.
- Adoption payment is to be made at the time of adoption.
- DGA will keep in contact during the settling in period

Foster
Be an Amazing Foster Carer
DGA are looking for amazing foster carers for cats, dogs, rabbits you name it… We support you with food, veterinary care and anything else you may need! Not only do you get to help us fight the good fight in saving animals BUT you also get to work with us in providing loving homes and environments for animals who may have not had this before. You get to open your heart to an animal that really needs you! You get lots of cuddles and kisses from animals! It may only be for one day, a week at a time, sometimes longer dependent on cases. You get to work with us in finding that animal a forever home. Plus, there is absolutely no pressure in saying YES if it’s a busy time for you! You won’t be alone in this because DGA is built on welcoming everyone like family and supporting each other along the way.
